China is often nicknamed as "smoking nation" because of high rate of smokers located in this area. Along with luxurious hotels, restaurants and recreational areas, China is fighting with one of the most stringent problem: smoking. Recently, government has banned smoking in a list of public places including government offices and public transport and now they plan to extend ban to schools, campuses and day care centers. It was decided to forbid even designated smoking zones. "Smoking rooms and zones are banned within teaching regions effective immediately," Health Ministry said. It was added that all teaching and administrative staff are vigorously encouraged to quit. Even plans of China health department are serious and focused it would be hard to implement in a country named leader in producing and consuming cigarettes per capita.
